Born in Venezuela and having navigated her own immigration journey to U.S. citizenship, Vanessa brings both personal insight and 10+ years of experience advocating for immigrants and their families. Before joining Colón Law Firm, she founded and operated her own immigration practice, helping clients navigate asylum, removal defense, and family-based immigration.

Known for her intuitive approach, strategic thinking, and ability to connect deeply with clients, Vanessa believes that effective advocacy begins with listening carefully, understanding the full human experience behind every case, and building a strategy that is both compassionate and grounded in reality.

In addition to her immigration practice, Vanessa has worked as in-house counsel in the Latin music industry. Her background in both law and the arts has deepened her appreciation for the diverse experiences, stories, and perspectives that clients bring to her practice. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys making music, spending time in nature, dancing, practicing yoga and meditation, and sharing quality time with loved ones, including her dog, Petey Jefferson.
